Simply put, an affiliate program allows you to refer customers to us in exchange for commissions.  Whenever a purchase is made through your unique link/id with us, commissions shall be credited to your account and they can be used as credits or withdrawn.

Simply register a new affiliate account here or use your social ID to log in. An email shall be sent to you once your affiliate application is accepted.  You may read “How do I Promote” below to get some ideas if you don’t know how to promote.

Log in and then choose/generate a link from tab “Affiliate URLs” or if you have your own website/blog, use one of our logos in tab “Creatives” and create your own banner, then you can start promoting online and offline.

The URL can be shared “as is”(through email and social media), converted to QR code and embedded to pictures, PDFs, videos etc., all up to you.  If you create your own banner (here is a useful guideline), do not forget to associate it with your unique affiliate URL. You may use any method you prefer, as long as no extra claims are given other than that we expressly claim on this website.

You will receive 5% of the spending by each client that you bring to us, excluding GST, for a period of 365 days, which means as long as any client purchases from us within 365 days after visiting our website through your unique link, you will earn a commission.

There is NO CAP! The more the customer you brought buys the more money you make.

Imagine this, an average order is 300 AUD, for which you will earn 15 AUD. The top 10% of our orders exceed 1000 AUD. Moreover, 70% of our customers return to place further orders. You could end up making hundreds or even Thousands of dollars (!) a month.

This article is only for those who have tax obligations in Australia. If you don’t, you can skip this article. The below information is provided as a summary of our consultation with ATO and is only for reference. You may contact ATO or consult your tax agent for more specific advices.

We don’t ask for TFN (tax file number) from anyone because you are not an employee of Nihao Translations, thus no Super or whatsoever will be paid to you other than your entitled commission. As far as this affiliate program is concerned, you are a supplier (of services) and there are generally two scenarios in regards to ABN (Australian Business Number) :

1. you don’t have an ABN: we are required to withhold 49% from the total payment for the supply, unless you provide us with a completed Statement by a supplier form. You may choose “The supply is made by an individual or partnership without a reasonable expectation of profit or gain” option under “Reasons for not quoting an ABN” in the form. A good example for this would be you refer a friend/family to us after using our services. However, you may be entitled to an ABN if you are getting serious, eg. you start marketing us to a wide audience on social media networks/blogs/vlogs and other channels. More information can be found in this article from ATO-Statement by a supplier not quoting an ABN.
2. you have an ABN:  you need to send us an invoice with your ABN in order to get paid.

When a user visits our website through your URL/banner, a cookie is set to indicate that they came from you. If this customer places an order, whether it be immediately or within the lifetime of the cookie (365 days), you will receive a commission on this sale.

All our orders are placed online and paid online through Stripe (accept all major credit and debit cards with NO transaction fee) to ensure each and every order is tracked.

Simply log into your affiliate account and check the “Statistics” tab. From this page, you can monitor unpaid/paid earnings, commission rate and more, and track your campaign if you have generated a URL with a campaign named.

Further statistics are available under “Graphs”, “Referrals”, “Payouts” and “Visits”.

If you don’t have an ABN and have accumulated a minimum unpaid earning of A$20, you may request a payout by completing either your Paypal OR Australian bank account details below. If you do not reach 20.00 AUD in a given month, the balance shall be carried over indefinitely to the next month(s) until the minimum amount is exceeded. We are required by law to withhold 49% from the total payment unless you provide us with a completed Statement by a supplier form. If you have an ABN, you should instead send us an invoice with your ABN to [email protected] so that we can pay you.

Payments shall be made in the next available payment run around the 10th of each month.

Absolutely – once you have become an affiliate, you will receive 5% discount on top of your Price Matched order with us, whether for yourself or your friends! Consider a 5% discount just for being an affiliate.

Affiliate Program Terms and Conditions

Content of affiliate’s marketing material or website

Nihao Translations reserves the right to cancel an account if any part of the content of the affiliate’s marketing material or website is not appropriate.

Unacceptable content includes:
1. Pornographic material;
2. Information technology piracy that violates third party rights;
3. Sites containing illegal music or video files;
4. All other illegal activity;
5. Any advertisement, whether image or text, which contains claims exceeding those offered by Nihao Translations;
6. Anything which may be considered damaging to Nihao Translations’s reputation or business.

Cancellation of the affiliate account

Nihao Translations reserves the right to cancel an account at its discretion if the relationship between the parties is deemed to be abusive. Nihao Translations reserves the right to discontinue the affiliate program.

Payment Terms

Nihao Translations pays the affiliate according to the net payment by referred customers, excluding GST.

Customers are identified using a cookie containing the affiliate’s ID. These cookies have an expiration date of 365 days.

Nihao Translations acknowledges the standard risk associated with cookie-based affiliate programs and therefore does not guarantee that it can identify all customers due to the fact that between the click on the affiliate’s site and the instant of the first translation order, the customer may have formatted the computer, changed computers or cancelled the cookie, making them impossible to identify. Although this situation is rare, the affiliate acknowledges that Nihao Translations will not be able to identify a customer in every case and thus is not required to pay the amount due in those cases.

Date of payment

Affiliates can request payment at any time by clicking on the “Get Paid” button under the “Request Payout” tab in the logged in affiliate page. Payment will be made for fully paid jobs and will be effected by the 10th day of the month following request of payment. Payment is made by PayPal or Bank Transfer to affiliates’ Australian Bank Accounts.

Each month, a minimum amount of 20.00 AUD must be reached in order to be paid. If this amount is not reached, payment will be postponed to the following month(s) until 20.00 AUD is reached.
